This is rumour control and these are the facts.

A couple of weeks back a former member of this guild, formally known as Filtthy, ninja looted all the loot from (I think it was) Twins in a ToC25 run that I was in on my mage alt. At that time there wasn’t much for me to do but to add the player to our removed members list to serve as a warning to others. Sadly, the player, being the coward that he is, changed name (at least) so he was untracable.

Roll on to Tuesday 9th March. Early on Tuesday evening a couple of people whispered me to complain. They wanted to know why we were effectively harbouring and protecting the accomplace of the ninja looter, namely Mulkwisti. Seems these people, being the cunning sort, had gone through the applications as a result of seeing Filtthy on the removed members list, discovered his associations and threatened to tarnish the name of this guild.

My immediate response was to do nothing. I logged and mulled over the options. After a while I chose to confront Mulkwisti and demanded to know where his real life friend had gone so I could be sure to add that important information to the removed players post. After all I think it’s important to protect the community from bad players.

He then chose to quit on his own rather than provide the information. He actively chose to protect someone who would harm the community. He then told his friends and I get another shitstorm of threats and insults. Clearly these are people without much in the way of honour, decency, or respect for the people they share the world with. There are, in short, bad people.

I wouldn’t normally drag what could be considered guild politics out into the public domain, but as I’m getting a lot of hammering in public channels it seems a public statement may be worth while.

I don’t like people who threaten to destroy the reputation of a guild. I take the guild reputation seriously. I’m pretty loyal to the guild that I am part of. I take an extremely hard line against those who would bring it down. I make no apology for that and I make no apology for removing bad players.

These are the facts.

Aye, I’ve been somewhat slow to update. So, somewhat delayed, here’s a few recent killshots, namely Professor Putricide, Blood Prince Council and Valithria Dreamwalker:

Web Site Tinkering…

I’m in the processing of poking around the web site a little, trying to find a slightly better Word Press theme to sit on. Some things may look a little odd for some days as and when I get time to mess about with it, e.g., the screen shots may look a bit broken.

Oh, and it might well look really bad in Internet Explorer, but then using Internet Explorer is about as safe as going to Africa and having unprotected sex as often as possible with as many different people as possible, and therefore it’s something you shouldn’t really be doing.

Unfortunately we didn’t have time to reach Putricide in 25 last week. We wanted to try a slightly different approach of training up in 10 player versions first and then go for the 25 player versions.

We were hoping to get him today, Thursday, but we couldn’t get quite the raid balance we wanted, and with Putricide only having limited tries we’ve chosen to try another day this week and to try and get a better role balance.
